UNIT FARM JAM 2012 is here on February 25th.
Farm Jam has become the 'Must see, must attend' event for Dirt Bikers accross NZ and increasingly more so Internationally also. Its a great day out on the Farm in the hills of the Otapiri Gorge, soaking up the atmosphere of the tranquil Farm, mixed in with the blur of Motocross & BMX/Mountain Bikes, Helicopters, film crew's, and thousands of Spectator's, Search Farm Jam on youtube.com and you will come up with a host of Video's, posted by major International's, Unit Clothing, and RedBull as well as Joe Bloggs from Invercargill. There have been over half a million views to date.
All major publications from with our chosen Industry's, as well as local Newspapers, Life & Leisure Magazine, Red Bulletin, etc etc are jumping at the chance to cover the annual pilgrimage that has become so popular you cant even avoid us on National TV with RedBull Chronicles featuring many stories around Farm Jam, and Unit's Farm Jam TV episode that is currently playing live on Fuel TV in Australia and USA.
We are focusing on taking it further and further each year and really excited about developments for 2012. We cant thank UNIT enough for what they are providing towards it. We aim to take it to the next level and make it the premiere Bike jumping event in New Zealand. We are revamping the courses and introducing totally new lines and features. We have new and pre existing sponsors including, UNIT and Red Bull, for this year meaning we can offer cash prizes to top athletes in each category and many spot prizes of gear and product, so it is worth the drive or flight to the deep south to compete for some high level athletes. We have several Australian and USA pro level riders and interest shown from others who may be coming. We aim to get the best riders available down to shred the Farm.
2012 will see the introduction of a totally reformatted
'Southland Times' Best Trick competition, in that we have built a totally new lander that will be usable by both Pushbikes and FMX.. This is proposed to be the fireworks at the end of the Jam, with head to head, Motobike Vs Mountain
Bike Vs BMX
Please dont hesitate to contact us with your queries. Check out our Blog for some peaks at what the courses will look like. We look forward to hearing from you and also if you want to ride and compete, please contact us for more information. See you at the Jam.
